Yes it is me.....I think you will find alot of AOL members coming over to bravenet to start journals....I know several went to blogspot...and some are still looking around.

The members and aol are having a major fall out because they have put ads inside our journals....we already pay for the service yet now after 3 years of journals they (without any warning) put ads on our journals....MAJOR INVASION OF PRIVACY!!! But what is AOL's loss is Bravenet's and blogspot's gain.

Things are ok in my neck of the words...I survived Hurricane Wilma...LOTS OF WATER... and it only made our garage ceiling collapse more but what else is new.
My kids are fine.....My son who moved to Tennessee is joining the army at the end of this month. I told him how I feel about it all...but I will support whatever it is he wants to do.

My other son moved back into our area...he is living up the street with a friend of his...he seems to be doing well...and racing again which is his passion.
My daughter is trying to handle being a sophmore but the pressure is just building up and she is getting lost....

I just wanted to do a quick update for you all...let you know that I am still around and kicking...

I am sure I will be around more often now...since AOL has driven all the bloggers away...

Hello One and All--

Yes I did drop off the face of the earth but I found my way back home.
Life seems to have become too overwhelming for me and I just could not keep up with everything.
Unfortunately my journals suffered. But I will say that I have missed you all terribly.

I have been working on some crafts projects to keep my head busy and so that I do not completely lose my mind. It has been fun....I have joined a new addiction that seems to have hit the internet called ATC (Artist Trading Cards) They are small pieces of art on 2.5x3.5 sized cards that are done in a collage style based on a theme.It really is alot of fun because you do not have to be an artist or even very good at crafts...if you can glue and stick things on a lil card then you are more then qualified to be apart of it. As soon as I get myself together I will show you all some of my cards...you will have to let me know what you think. Anyway...family is good....my parents are slowly but surely adjusting to life down south....I miss them tremendously.
One of my sons (the one that moved down south) has moved back into our area...he got a job around the corner from us...I think he missed all his friends and even coming home once in a while for food. LOL
The daughter is good...trying to get through school...some subjects are really killing her but she is trying.
My son who moved up to tennessee is doing grand...I think by the end of this year he will be in the army...he has thought long and hard about it...I can only support whatever it is he decides to do...

Everything else is just too involved to really type out here and I do not want to bore you all...so I will end my lil ramblings here...I hope you all have a GREAT week...Be good to yourselves!!!

Today started out like any other day....except that last night I had to set the alarm clock for 5:45am to get my daughter up for school.
Yes I said it SCHOOL.
Boy...she was bummed out all weekend at just the thought of school starting again.

Well I woke up around 5am and thought to myself that I would just sit here and listen to the news until the alarm went off.......BIG MISTAKE!!!!
I woke up on my own at 6:45am...geeeesh!!! The bus comes at that time...so I go screaming through the house for my daughter to get up...and she is already dressed (yeah...) I tell her there is a kid outside so the bus has not come yet...to hurry and go...well she does..and the two of them wait and wait and wait and wait...until 7:10.
I went crazy calling the school and the bus company thinking to myself that this is NOT a good way to start the school year off.
The school blamed the bus company and the bus company said that all schools in florida are now starting 20 minutes earlier...the bus operator said that this information was all over the news for weeks. Well I hate to be rude but she is a LIAR....I watch news almost 24/7, it is what keeps me in touch with the outside world since I do not go out.
So Crystalyn had to wait until her father came home from work to get to school...which was not going to be until 8:30.
Well finally she got there and was a very HAPPY CAMPER!

At around 2:45 I hear the dogs going crazy crying...which means that someone is here that they know...and yes it was my little girl.

She absolutely LOVED the first day of school...she got all the classes that she wanted..saw all her cutie friends..and officially announced that she is a sophmore.

So I am thrilled for her and hopefully the rest of the year will not be as chaotic as this morning.
Now I can finally relax....Thank God!!!

HAPPY AUGUST EVERYONE

I cannot believe it is already august...and the summer for us is just about over...my daughter goes back to school this monday the 8th...and then it is back to school routines and schedules and all that fun stuff..

It seems like time has flown by and we barely got anything done around our house.
We were really determined to paint and fix up everything....but we spent most of it helping my folks pack and move.

Before I go on any further...a very sweet lady that I know through aol journals has decided to give bravenet a try...so if you have a moment please stop by her journal and say hi..it is called: "Familiar Story Called Life"

The only news I can mention is the darn weather...I cannot believe how HOT this summer has been....and for the first time since I have lived in florida they actually have health warnings out for the entire population.
The heat index has never been lower then 103 in our area but has gone much higher.

I have finally got some pics uploaded that have been sitting in my camera because the puppies have eaten the cable to upload from the camera...but my sweet hunnie managed to find one at a store as a surprise for me...so as soon as I get them uploaded to aol I will share them here.

I realize that I have become very lazy in keeping up with this journal...somehow, at some point I just have become disinterested in trying to keep up.

I am sure I will snap out of this mood..but I am not feeling creative anymore...I am not feeling like just talking about whatever or what is going on in my life.
And to be honest...how many people actually are interested in such a thing.
I have been going around checking on others and some terrific peeps are keeping up as usual...then again...there are peeps like me that have sporadic moments of an entry.

I guess this summer has been more then I can handle at this point. We were redoing the house, painting walls, rearranging alot of things...but even that has come to a halt.

School is fixing to start here in about a week or so...and then the same routine will begin again.

Just as a side note...my hunnie finally got my parents moved down south...it was very chaotic for about 6 weeks here.
They gave us a ton of things, loads of furniture...and weeks and weeks of packing.
I have never been that stressed out before.

Now they are down there...trying to adjust and we miss them terribly.
They have called us a few times already..to say how much they miss us.
Yesterday was their 56th wedding anniversary...so I am sure they went out to celebrate.
Well gotta go and finish up more stuff.....
I shall return...

Yes I am still here trying to keep my life together. I am still in the middle of helping my parents move...there is so much to do and just not enough time...
They are moving down south, about 4 and a half hours from me this coming thursday.

I am still so very upset and unsettled about it all because my siblings will not help them out. So now I will just worry long distance.
My parents are still giving us alot of stuff..I am so thrilled ...it is like getting a new house on the inside.

Just as a side subject- school starts here on August 8th...that is because we ended in may. So I am busy with getting Crystalyn all set up for that...

Of course we are still redecorating the house so this summer has been insane.
